Reference the news in Tribune Chandigarh on 03 Nov 09, regarding disability pension on voluntary retirement (appended below).

Please read the response email from Maj Navdeep Singh appended below and read the attachments sent by him (attached to this email).

As most of you would know – Maj Navdeep Singh, is a serving Territorial Army Officer, practising law in Chandigarh High Court. Maj Navdeep Singh is very knowledgeable about the rules and regulations of MoD, the Three Services – concerning the serving and retired Defence personnel.

On behalf of YOU ALL, I thank Maj Navdeep Singh for telling us the correct legal position of the case.
It is time for all ESM organisations to stand shoulder to shoulder and confront the MoD to adopt anti ESM policies.

All ESM and ESM Organisations receiving this email are requested to kindly give it widest publicity and ensure that it reaches the maximum number of ESM, in particular those who took voluntary retirement because of their disability due to contingencies
