Regards. There is a good news for pre-2006
pensioners (Veterans) ahead.
As per my personal discussion with Sh. Harbans Singh,
Director Pension, Department of Ex-Servicemen
Welfare, Ministry of Defence, the Committee
(constituted on the instructions from Prime Minister),
has submitted its report to Ministry of Defence and
orders relating to Modified Parity in Pension for
Pre-2006 Defence Pensioner are likely to be issued
soon. But he was not committed to give any
information about the date of issuance of notification.
Pre- 2006 Pensioners are also likely to get disability
pension on percentage basis like Post- 2006
Pensioners. Pre-2006 Hony. N/Subs are also going to
get pension of regular N/Subs. like Post-2006 Hony.
N/Subs. We should be very clear about the fact that
no Govt. can afford to grant One Rank One Pension
as was demanded in joint Memorandum submitted
by a group of organizations on 14th Oct. 2009.

Defence pension adalat gets good response:

The 96th Defence Pension Adalat concluded recently. The Pension Adalat received a good response from the pensioners from in and around Patiala.
Over 300 cases were registered and majority of these were settled on the spot by authorities. Some of the cases requiring reference to various authorities were referred to for necessary action.
Few cases, which were under correspondence for considerable period, were examined by the experts and were disposed of during the pension adalat. Today’s pension adalat was last of pension adalats in the series, as planned by the Ministry of Defence in consultations with CGDA for this calendar year.
