Ex Soldiers, Sailors & Airmen Association offers its heartiest congratulations to General V.K. Singh: Veteran Prabhjot Singh Chhatwal PLS Retd.

Ex Soldiers, Sailors & Airmen Association
offers its heartiestcongratulations to General V.K. Singh, who
is taking over as 26th Army Chief with in a few hours and will
stay at the helm of the 1.13 million personnel-strong Army for
over two years. This association, justifiably, expects from him
and the other two Chiefs, viz. Naval and Air Chiefs, that they will,

pursue with the Govt. of India, through MoD, the case for
Changeof Pay Band for Hav./PO/Sgt. from the present PB-I to
PB-II and for Sub. Maj. from PB-II toPB-III with the same vigor
and zeal as the then trio did in case of Lt. Cols. soon after the
Report of 6th CPC. It will assuage the much hurt feelings of JCOs.
and below, both serving and the veterans, who count for 96.2 of
the whole set-up,to a great extant.

Good news for faujis : Affordable special housing scheme
launched in Mohali on Republic Day :Navdeep
An affordable housing scheme has been launched for

defence & para-military personnel and their families at
Sector 110, Mohali, as a goodwill gesture by a private
company. The scheme christened ‘Shaurya Scheme’ by
‘Premium Acres’ at TDI City would feature dwelling units
with a super area of 1440 Sq Ft at a basic price of Rs 21 lacs,
only for the eligible categories. The scheme is a part of TDI
City which is located in a proper Government demarcated
and allotted Sector (110) of Mohali. The city of Mohali is a
part of the famous Chandigarh-Mohali-Panchkula tricity
of the north. The upcoming area is in close vicinity of the
proposed International Airport and all amenities are
available within the environs. The project is closer and
nearer to Chandigarh & Panchkula than AWHO’s Mohali
project which is located in Sector 114. The units would be
‘ready to move in’ once the possession is handed over in
about 18-24 months. The payment is not ‘one-time’ but
through a construction-linked escalation-free payment
plan.More details can be obtained from the Special
